The key exception he the dog called Argonaut and there is no Grey Cup for you – poochie! — the robotic contraption that was voiced by the great Ricky Gervais with a refreshing bite. Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D might not be a complete throwback, but it is rich with fun. Just listen to Argonaut telling Rebecca and Cecil “You should get into a competition to understand which one among you is the most annoying.”

Long, long ago, there was bad of sorcerers who came from Acheron. They created an amazing mask by using the skulls of many dead kings. They also sacrificed some of their daughters to those dark gods for getting some power to the mask for subjugating the whole world. When they killed countless people getting caught up in the campaign to literally conquer this planet, those sorcerers got defeated by some barbarian tribes and they destroyed the mask. They scattered the pieces among many tribes, where each of the tribal leaders kept one for ensuring that these pieces are hard to reunite.

Around 1000 years later, when the world reached Hyborian Age, the unique Corin (played by Ron Perlman) has become the barbarian chief holding one of those pieces. While getting engaged in the battle against the rival tribe, the wife of Corin, after being injured by the opponent, delivers their son named, Conan (played by Leo Howard), only to die after that. Conan slowly grows up and becomes an expert, but aggressive warrior, whom his dad believes isn’t prepared to exert his own blade. One day, the village of Conan is assaulted by the army of Khalar Zym (played by Stephen Lang), who is a warlord and has the mission to reunite the parts of the Mask to resurrect his deceased wife and to conquer Hyborea.

After he located Corin’s piece and murdered the people of the whole village, he leaves. Conan happens to be the sole survivor, and finally swears revenge. Around twenty years later, he (played by Jason Momoa) becomes a bandit who is still looking for the revenge. With some help of friends like Artus (played by Nonso Anozie), this man raids the slave camp nearby and carries the saved slaves to the metropolis of Messantia, which is the place for Conan to meet Ela-Shan (played by Saïd Taghmaoui), who happens to be a thief chased by someone who is recognized by Conan as Lucius (played by Steven O’Donnell), the member of Zym’s warriors from many years before.

Conan lets himself get captured along with Ela-Shan, and, he is in prison. But he escapes as well as confronts Lucius, as he is forced to disclose that Zym plans to forgo the pure blood successor of the sorcerers for unleashing the power of the mask. The guy helps the remaining prisoners to successfully escape, and, as a gratitude token, Ela-Shan reveals to Conan that, if he is ever needed, he will be available at the City of Thieves, in Argalon.

In the mean time, Zym along with his spawn, the sorceress called Marique (played by Rose McGowan) hits a monastery where the unadulterated blood is. Sensing things went wrong, the Fassir (played by Raad Rawi), who is an old monk teaching the monastery’s students, orders one of them, Tamara (played by Rachel Nichols), to flee and get back to her birthplace.

Tamara’s carriage gets followed by Zym’s people. Conan listens to the uproar and, recognizes Zym’s men. He attacks them and finally kills them to save Tamara. Conan captures a man of Zym, Remo (played by Milton Welsh), and he catapults this dude to the nearby camp of Zym after successfully forcing him to disclose Tamara’s significance as the pure blood.

Zym and Marique joins forces to confront Conan, who’s pretending to feel interested in swapping Tamara for some gold, and the warrior attacks Zym. However, Marique saves this girl’s father through invoking soldiers that are made out of sand and finally poisoning Conan using a poison-laced, sharp boomerang sword. But Tamara rescues Conan and they get back to the boat of Artus, which is stationed close by, where Artus supports Conan to recover. That boat gets attacked by the men of Zym, and, though they manage to kill some of Conan’s soldiers, they get defeated.

Conan finally orders Artus to get back to Messantia along with Tamara. He departs to finally confront Zym right in his powerful kingdom. Artus tells Tamara that the great Conan has left behind a valuable map and she decides to follows him and finally meets him inside a cave to mate. The following day, as she returns to the boat for joining Artus to sail away, she is imprisoned by Zym’s army. That is how the story of Conan the Barbarian develops into climax.

• It is a supernatural horror movie written by Eric Heisserer. It is directed by the talented Steven Quale. It’s the 5^th installment in the saga of Final Destination franchise. It has stars like Nicholas D’Agosto, Emma Bell and Miles Fisher. But hey! Let us also not forget about Arlen Escarpeta and David Koechner. What about Tony Todd? He is the lone chronic cast part of the series.

   

  A set of co-workers keep gathering for the upcoming company retreat. This group comprises Sam Lawton (played by Nicholas D’Agosto) and he wants to have an apprenticeship somewhere in Paris.

   

  This guy’s best pal is Peter Freidkin (played by Miles Fisher). And Peter’s girlfriend is Candice Hooper (played by Ellen Wroe). He has an office assistant called Olivia Castle (played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Along for this trip are people like Molly Harper (played by Emma Bell), Sam’s girlfriend and Peter’s colleagues like Isaac Palmer (played by P.J. Byrne) and even Nathan Sears (played by Arlen Escarpeta), and let us also not forge about their interesting boss named Dennis Lapman (played by David Koechner).

   

  As this group crosses over the North Bay Bridge, the enthused Sam gets a feeling that it’ll collapse just when their bus rides on it and it will kill everybody apart – except Molly. Being panicked, he grabs on to Molly and hurriedly gets off that bus. Peter, Candice, Olivia and Nathan along with Isaac, and Dennis go after him. That bridge finally collapses just as Sam foresaw. Fortunately they all get spared. After the memorial service, William Bludworth (played by Tony Todd) the local coroner strangely warns the survivors about their cheating the Death. They pay no attention to his warnings and keep moving on with their precious lives.

   

  Later on, Candice hits the gym for gymnastics practice along with Peter, just to get killed as she snaps the spine following the flip off the highbars. On the following day, Isaac gets killed as he has his head crushed by the falling statue of Buddha during the acupuncture session being held at the Chinese spa. On the other hand, Bludworth was been present for witnessing both the deaths held so far. He tells the residual survivors about their wish to deceive Death and for that they need to kill somebody who wasn’t ever meant to face his death on the bridge, and thus claim the remainder part of their lifespan.

  Sam as well as Molly suspected that the next one is Olivia and she’s in deep danger, as she has gone for her laser eye surgical procedure. They manage to arrive at her clinic but find out that they are too late and she has already fallen dead from the upstairs window on the windshield of the car. Later on, when Sam and Molly thoroughly studied the design of the Death, they finally noticed that Nathan will be the next on the list.

  That evening, the mentor of Sam lets him to develop an apprenticeship in Paris. This guy lets him have his restaurant to himself, who’s now been driven crazy and insane by the death of Candice’s and he interrupt that date for informing them that he almost pushed a unfamiliar person under a truck while trying to convince himself that he’s able to kill somebody else for taking his or her lifespan; subsequently, he’s about to kill Molly and wants to take her residual lifespan for himself. This is how the story of the Final Destination 5 proceeds and the actors did their best.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes review

In this movie, some scientists start using apes for some tests for finding a good cure for living human ails. And the apes end up experiencing some side effects, which increases their intelligence. Still, that did not raise any moral questions to the ones who are in charge. Then again, the protagonist (who was the ape called – Caesar) finally finds that he is in a very unique position due to the straight result of the intervention made by man. He is actually an anomaly, who is way too smart to passively fit in with the reasonable primates. Yet, he is too primitive to fit in our human society. This raises another question: if we had some power, could we interfere in the process of evolution of the species?

The last one in the franchise was Planet of the Apes, which was directed by Tim Burton. People found the whole ting okay at best. However, it was surely nothing to stand the test of time. The cast worried some people at first due to the choice to include James Franco. People haven’t seen this guy in many films, but the wooden performance he showed in Spider-Man II still haunts people to this day. The portrayal of the famous Harry Osborne was literally appalling. However, in the movie he gave a hard performance while playing the role of Will Rodman, who is the scientist developing the “miracle drug.” The performance he showed is not anything spectacular. However, he surely did not stand out as a weak me.

Your sole complaint could lie in the notion that has been some scenes where his character could have been more touching, but that is critical. John Lithgow did an unyielding job in this movie trying to play his role of Will’s dad, who suffered from Alzheimer’s. Here, the supporting cast remains pretty decent too. However, there’re 2 performances that actually stood out to people. The initial one here is about Tom Felton; who works at the primate enclosure where Caesar arrives to stay. When the movie ends, some people hated that guy. What a exceptional job by Felton as he made this character truly appalling. Finally, this actor stealing the show was Andy Serkis, who also happens to be the motion capture performer for Caesar. No wonder people like Rise of the Planet of the Apes so much.

The emotion he can convey without even using any words is amazing. Every jiffy of the movie makes people root for Caesar. They understood what the guy was thinking of and how he felt the emotion to that point that there wasn’t any denying that if you were put in that kind of circumstances, you could wish to react in the same manner. The overall pacing of this movie was handled pretty well. People expected that the action sequences will be a much larger part of this movie. The creators managed to prove that this wasn’t needed. Instead, viewers spent more of their time with Caesar to gain insight into the world he had that ultimately caused people to feel some understanding for him.

There were ample nods to the unique Apes film that people were pleased to see. Today’s audience won’t go into that, as they always find huge delight in watching movies and witnessing a purposeful homage to a preceding film. You see the audience cheering out loud in a few instances! Watching the rise of Caesar to power was very entertaining and bravo! Again, the viewers will not spoil the amusement with specifics, but are very excitable to the end.

And that is what it will all melt down to – enthusiasm! People go this movie and feel a dash of excitement as it ends. It is a grand story, filled entirely with calamity but yet, it did provide rather of a happy ending. It is a prequel to its original and you could not have asked for any more.

This movie was successful in linking into the original franchise briefly. It comes neatly to the end. Why did this film leave you longing for any more? Some people feel that there should have been more of the humans vs. ape action. The film title is misleading. I could have gone for the ‘Minor Nuisance in a Local City District of the Apes,’ that was not pretty catchy. You will agree that it is surely nearer to whatever you could expect. Rise of the Planet of the Apes has a brilliant story.

The Smurfs has emerged as one of the most exciting CG animated and action featured movie that narrates the story about the homesick little blue cartoon characters. The fiesta of the Blue Moon is on the brink of beginning. Things are headed real smooth for the smurfs. However, Papa Smurf has seen a vision and that is pretty disturbing. As they mix up to run away from that awkward wizard, Clumsy ends up going the wrong direction. Papa, Smurfette, Brainy, Gutsy, and Grouchy have no choice but to follow him. In this strange and new “village” with Gargamel plus his threatening cat Azrael hot on the heels, the Smurfs effort just to stay alive. That goes on till they find that they are in the comfortable apartment of the young and married duo Patrick Winslow and Grace Winslow. Actually, Patrick happens to be a clear cut marketing manager for the NYC based cosmetics corporation Anjelou. His wife is kind and highly optimistic. And Grace is expectant with the first child.

As they find they have a number of small blue visitors, this couple acts awkwardly. Grace accepts these creatures and befriends them. In spite of the fact that the life of Patrick is turned upside down and the big opportunity to do well at job is put to an end with jeopardy, this guy just cannot turn his back on those new and real blue friends.

He makes solid efforts so that they can make a successful escape. He also gets the tools as well as potions that are much needed for opening the portal back to their home. Finally, it might be the case that the smurfs actually helped him more than he managed to help them.

Cowboys And Aliens – A short review

Some things are not meant to keep going together. Cowboys and Aliens!? From the jiffy you see the previews, the thing rolling through your mind is “What’s going on?! Is Indiana Jones signing on to just about ANYTHING?” Yeah. Yes they’re. So we’ve got a guy called Lonergan (played by Daniel Craig) who just wakes up in a desert with the nasty wide hole at his side, along with a weird looking iron bracelet that he wears on the wrist.

He has absolutely no clue regarding who he really is or how the hell he got that place. He is fighting his credentials. He’s able to take out an entire group of well equipped cowboys with just a negligible amount of grunting. He finally wanders into the close by town of Absolution, as that is the place where he finds that he is unwelcomed by everybody but Ella (played by Olivia Wilde). She follows him everywhere around just like a small puppy and evidently starts getting on his irritated nerves.

He’s also got the pleasure of setting a meeting with Colonel Dolarhyde (played by Harrison Ford) who seems to be the one who runs that town, although not in a soft and arranged way. The genuine villains of this film makes an entry next, who are the gargoyle or crablike type creatures flying overhead and just snatching people with bungee cord to haul them off and away for some sort of experimental surgeries. So Lonergan, Dolarhyde along with the rest of the people get teamed up with the native Apaches for bringing all that to an end.

In fairness, the famous Harrison Ford did a wonderful job when it comes to making the audience hate him. This is very surprising as despite his customary cranky manner in most of the films, he’s always capable of pulling off an original charmingness. For the great majority of this film, he is just very mean. You wish somebody would slap him up the head. Mr. Ford did a good job for getting the bad guy character and convincing people that it is the reality.

On yet another optimistic note, these alien creatures are memorable and eerie. Craig came across as extremely mechanical, while Olivia Wilde hardly seems to wink. For at all intents as well as purposes, the work of the cast was pretty nice. However, it is the basis of that storyline that does not hold together for you. You realize surely that anything regarding the Aliens happens to be a far stretch from the reality. Clearly, that movie was really meant for your entertainment.

However as he gets back his full memory  in the film, all the audience might see that full portrayal of the character in a sense of the actions he did in the film and this true reasoning told the world, why he performs his actions.

The cinematography was outstanding, however some noticed that the film had a rock-solid HD look and might criticize the fact that if it has turned out to be a real Western film. It is supposed to be in a classic film just like style. However, for most of the part, many people perhaps overlook that.

The lighting as well as filming style is well done as well as portrayed as a successful western film ranging from the dark saloon to all the bright and dry deserts galloping on the horses. One thing you notice is the motivation of those villains. Maybe the graphic novel brings all the explanations better. However, the purpose here was those aliens in action. “Cowboys and Aliens” did pack plenty of solid action as well as some unforgettable moments on the big screen and can be rated well for the starting film wrapping up this years summer run.

Captain America: The First Avenger

Captain America: The First Avenger came along with the burden of huge expectations. When you are struck with the pressure was immensely riding Captain America: The First Avenger, nothing really went wrong. If it is done well, the Marvel might have the best of the movies yet, while things were generating massive hype for this movie. And if done wrongly, plans taken for this film could have taken a massive hit. And the director J. Johnston really managed to get the magic to one of the most iconic characters. On the basis of the iconic character from the World War II, this movie follows a very brave young man – Steve Rogers – who comes from Brooklyn, NY (this character is played by Chris Evans), as this guy was deemed out for serving the military.

He had nowhere else where he could go. Rogers then decides join the volunteers who want to take part in an operation which turns people into a superhero soldier. The operation is led by Dr. Abraham Erskine. And this operation turns out to be a big success in course of time. However, Dr Erskine gets killed quickly, along with all the secrets of his superhero soldier formula. Realizing the only living superhero soldier is too much of a danger for the combat, the United States military finally decides to parade Rogers out on USO shows for boosting morale and gaining funding. But when the evil plot ends up revealing itself by that evil J. Schimdt or Red Skull (played by Hugo Weaving), Rogers has no choice but to step up to the job and become the Captain America. That is the beauty of Captain America: The First Avenger.

This movie handles the toughest part as well. It’s successfully capable of avoiding the turning of a flag wearer into a flag weaver. And Evans comes along a likeable character, which hates bullies and is not at all afraid to build a stand up to cater to his needs. Steve is a character and he is rewarded with proper treatment. Prior to his becoming a Nazi basher super soldier, Evans proves that he is able to handle much more than simple comedy and he is not putting any kind of confusion over him as he is The Human Torch.

Hayley Atwell provides you with a very convincing performance, being the strong. However, he is also the super-sensitive Peggy Carter, while Tommy Lee Jones remains on the scene trying to steal form as the undisputable cocky Colonel Philips who’s flat to one-liners. The remaining parts of the cast struggles hard to impress or aren’t given sufficient time for doing so. It has really been a summer too tough for Bucky Barnes. This guy ended up suffering a cheap death that you can find in those comic books of late. His treatment in The First Avenger is a bit little better.

Sebastian Stan does all he can for making the most out of what he’s given, since it’s very evident that Steve along with Bucky are among the longer term friends. When Barnes is rapidly dealt with, he is very soon forgotten. So what does the support group of Captain America does here? The Howling Commandos (though they’re hardly called that in this film), end up crying out for the own spin-off of their own as they offer some of the best fun scenes of this film.

But some people think that Howard Stark (played by Dominic Cooper) and The Red Skull (played by Hugo Weaving) could be better. Just in case you did not know, The Howard Stark in this movie had little, if any, charisma. Some people thought the name of Stark could be mentioned more often. Weaving’s Skull was so obsessively unhinged and he disgusts many other Nazis. However, it is at times hard to view where his motives lie. This guy is just obsessed with the idea of being a deity. The Red Skull you see in this movie surely is not that diabolical villain you read about in this comic. That is where this film ends up. The prime threat HYDRA, which is the science division of NAZI, has 2 main figureheads, which could really make the world fall under threat!
